Manual Handling
| The Manual Handling Regulations were published in 1983. These regulations imposed a mandatory requirement on all employers to have a legal responsibility to provide a safe and health workplace for all employees. The Manual Handling course covers a range of activities including lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling, carrying, moving, holding or restraining an object, or person.
This course deals with getting the message across and participants learn how to carry out risk assessments of manual handling tasks. This will further enable them to assist in re-designing or re-organising manual tasks to minimise the risk of back injury. |
